procedures, 3 4 sessions

a) intro fish pieces, intro to pattern show and discuss visuals

b) discuss patterns repetition

c) demo making patterns emphasis continuous line, shapes, and color. think water, flowing under water.

d)procedure for water patterns

1) draw lines using Cray-pas. this sets up patterns

2) check patterns, now add a few under water things (look at octopus tenicles in examples)

3) use water color for patterns, any color is fine but no rainbows

4) using sharpies and fish templets have students trace fish.

g) have students place fish in random places
